Emergency Aid for Nonprofit Organizations Amidst COVID-19

Action Alert--Congress is deciding now!

Congress is right now at work on the “Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act”. Short-titled the CARES ACT, this emergency financial legislation is being negotiated between the Republicans and Democrats, Senator to Senator, Representative to Representative in a quite unusual process aimed at fast-tracked enactment.

The Nonprofit Alliance* and many other leading associations have been working hard on this for the past week.

Now we're asking for your participation.

Please tell your Senators and Representative to remember our critical work in their mega emergency relief package.

Contact your Congressional leaders with a couple clicks to ask them to:

1.     Unlock charitable giving with a short-term universal charitable deduction available through 2021. 

2.     Provide direct grants for nonprofits to meet increasing needs across a wide range of services.

3.     Ensure all nonprofits have access to any loans and tax credits made available to for-profit businesses, to support the 12 million employees that make up the 3rd largest workforce in the U.S.
