Postage Rates To Decrease For First Time In Almost 100 Years

It was in July, 1919, when the USPS last lowered postage rates. Believe it or not, it's happening again!

On April 10th, the USPS will be required to roll back the temporary price increase that was put into effect in 2014. This increase was to help alleviate the precarious financial condition that the USPS has been battling over the better part of the past decade. The rollback will reduce postage prices by an average of 4.3%, including those for standard and non-profit mail. The 1st class full postage stamp rate will drop from 49 to 47 cents. The decrease will not affect "competitive" shipping products like Priority Mail®.
